The Sabine Area Restaurant Association (SARA) is kicking off a crowd funding campaign May 1st through our website www.sara-tra.com to assist local restaurants. All restaurants in SETX may apply. The campaign will run from May 1st through May 29th. SARA will provide seed funding of $5000.
Funds collected by May 29th will be awarded to eligible applicants on June 1st. If necessary, the campaign will continue for a second round of fundraising through June 26th, with funds to be awarded on June 30th. Those who received assistance in the first campaign may apply again but are not guaranteed additional funding. Funds collected past June 30th will be donated to charities in Southeast Texas, Hospitality & Culinary students at Lamar University, or the TRA Education Foundation. Donations will be tracked and posted daily on our website and social media. Donors will also be recognized on our website.
Questions regarding tax exemptions on these awards must be referred to each restaurant’s CPA or accountant.
